Quick Decision
Do buy the Zurich Card if:
- you plan to ride the city trams AND
- visit at least one covered museum or excursion per day (e.g. Swiss National Museum or Uetliberg).
Don’t buy the Zurich Card if
- you only need a transit ticket from the airport to Zürich city and a tram pass for the day
- you have a valid Swiss Travel Pass for your time in Zürich

How do we use the Zurich Card for transportation to, and from, the airport? We’re staying at the Boutique Hotel Wallenberg. Thank you.
The Zurich Card covers the transit zone that includes the airport and the city. As long you buy a Zurich card that is valid for your day of travel, you can travel on the trains between the airport and Zurich city with the Zurich card. You can buy it at the SBB ticket office at the airport. You can just hop on the train and only show the Zurich card if asked for a ticket.
