Titisee is a lovely little lake in the Black Forest, just a 1.5hr drive from Zurich (a beautiful drive on little roads as well). There is a grassy park on the lake, just outside of town by the parking lot, perfect for kids to run around. In summer, there’s an outdoor pool there too. The town has a pedestrian-only zone, lots of outdoor cafes and a great gelato shop. We had traditional black forest ham and trout from the lake, both delicious. There are lots of boats for rent, much less than rate of Zurichsee boats, only 15 euros for one hour on a motorboat. Our 3yr old has fun steering our super slow motor boat in circles in the middle of the lake. There are also three campgrounds near town as well, if you want to rough it. It’s a very nice day trip.
