Gift Guide: Swiss Hiking Books for Families

A collection of books focused on family friendly hiking trails in Switzerland, a good source of inspiration and motivation for kids and adults.

I try my best to document every trail in Switzerland, but there are still many trails we haven’t done yet. So if you have hiked everything on my site and are looking for more ideas, here are some family-friendly hiking books you find helpful for inspiration.

My hiking posts provide a lot more detail than you’ll find in this books, like step-by-step route descriptions and photo story, online trail maps and directions to the trail. If you find a trail you like in these books, I suggest you search for it on my site to get more details.

Note: Most of these books are available in German only, not English. But if you have even a low level of German skills, the trail maps and stats in these books are helpful, even if you can’t fully understand the trail descriptions. Plus it might be a good way to practice German.
