SEA LIFE hosts aquarium all over Europe, including this smallish aquarium on the northeast border of Switzerland. It has a small but nice collection of undersea life on display, including a shark tank. In our opinion, it focuses a bit too much on drab local lake fish. But it has a lot of fun elements for children, like the passport they can stamp at stations throughout the aquarium and educational games in each room. All ages.

Photo story of aquarium

When you first enter the museum, pick up the passport for kids. There are several stations through the aquarium where kids can stamp the passport. At the end, they can turn it in for a prize, which was the button shown below the day we went.

If the aquarium is particular crowded, you will be required to wait in this room, watching a video, until they open the door and let your group in.

There is a mix of fish varieties, some European rivers and lakes (a little dull) and some more beautiful exotic fish, like the tropical ones on the right.

One of our favorite parts was the tank with rays.

There is a hands-on station where a staff member will help you touch some animals and educate you. When we were there, she was showing us shark eggs, aka mermaid purses.

There are lots of educational games through the museum, with text in English.

There is one room dedicated to octopus and other things with lots of squiggly legs, like these jellies.

Next to the penguin exhibit, there is a slide for small children.

After you exit the aquarium, there is a big gift shop and a small ball pit.
