Easy walk around large alpine reservoir with two huge waterfalls and picnic area. Option for strollers.
Circular hike from the Maloja pass through a forest to two beautiful alpine lakes surrounded by tall mountains.
This hike visits alpine lakes in a high mountain rocky landscape. It’s uphill both ways and some steep ascents, but not too long or dangerous, suitable for those with a good fitness level and older kids.
A guided river rafting tour on the Vorderrhein river near Flims Laax, mild enough for families but super fun with class 3 rapids. Also possible on rainy days.
The easiest hike to a glacier in Switzerland with a wide gravel path, suitable for strollers, that leads directly to the glacier ice tongue feeding the river.
Beautiful alpine lake near Flims, with swimming, rock jumping, paddle boats, playground and restaurant. A special treat for a hot summer day.
Easy loop trail on groomed snow with wide open views across the valleys. For more fun, add on ice skating or a 5 km sled run after the hike.
Easy walk along the Rhine river through the “Swiss Grand Canyon” with lots of interesting formations in the limestone walls lining the gorge plus open-air train ride to get there.
Lots of variety on this trail to the famed Val Roseg in the Engadin: a peaceful alpine lake, glaciers, river valley, forest, mountain peaks. The full trail is quite long one but I have two shorter alternatives for families, including a horse carriage option.
Tough hike up to a beautiful high mountain valley, definitely worth the effort. The trail is mostly along a river with lots of waterfalls, making the trip there also enjoyable.
Wander through alpine meadows filled with wildflowers, ending at several narcissus fields that bloom mid-May to mid-June. I have a short loop for families and a longer hike if you want a full day outing.
Globi hosts this educational theme trail that has 13 posts along the way, including a barefoot path. Lots of picnic areas with mountain views. Great choice for families.
