This fun theme trail has 12 activity stations spread around the loop encouraging little walkers to keep moving. It’s easy walking on a wide dirt path. Some of the trail has wide open views across the valley to the big peaks. Other parts dip into the forest for welcome shade on a hot day. It’s a perfect choice for families vacationing in this area or as a day trip from Zürich.

Hiking map
The Globi Hiking Trail is a theme trail with 13 activity stations for children related to nature and technology. The stations have been updated since our last visit, but the trail is the same. Here is the official trail map from Lenzerheide as of summer 2020.

Here is a more detailed trail map you can follow on your phone. We recommend riding the chair lift from Val Sporz to Tgantieni and starting and ending the hike there.
If you want to skip the lift, you can follow the blue trail shown above from/to Fadail bus stop, which is convenient located near the playground at Heidsee lake.
Getting There
By car: Drive to Lenzerheide and follow signs to Tgantieni – Piz Scalottas lifts (GPS: 46°43’31.1″N 9°32’50.9″E). There is a dirt parking lot across the street from the lift station. I think the parking is metered so bring coins.
By public transport: Take a bus to Lenzerheide/Lai, Post, then change to the free red Sportbus Rot 191 and continue to Lenzerheide/Lai, Val Sporz. This second bus runs daily for summer season from the end of June (22 June 2020) to mid October (25 Oct 2020).
Photo story of trail
At the top of the Tgantieni chair lift, you’ll find this restaurant, Acla Grischuna. We ate lunch there and it was quite good, but very busy the day we were there. We had to wait to get seated.

Behind that restaurant, there’s a big playground.

I recommend walking the trail clockwise, starting with a short uphill walk, headed to station 1.

After the short uphill, the trail levels out and heads across the mountain.

This was one of the stations back in 2014. I think it’s been replaced now.

The first picnic area on the trail. There is one firepit under the trees as shown here. You can see a wood shed at the end of the path in the pic, that’s where you’ll find wood and a toilet.

Next to the wood shed, there is a second fire pit, benches and table. I wouldn’t stop at either of these, the next picnic area is much prettier.

The picnic area (station 7) on the far side of the loop. There is a fire pit, wood and a couple tables.

Water play at station 11. This has been updated, but there is still water play.

Picnic area in the forest near the water play.

From the main trail, you can do a little loop around this lake. You can’t swim in it.

There is a little barefoot path next to the lake.

Picnic area next to the lake and barefoot path.

Views across the valley to Parpaner Rothorn.

Hi Tanya, just a small note: did figure out, that you even can order a Globi set on http://www.arosalenzerheide.swiss/en/Region/Lenzerheide/Summer/Family-experiences/Globi-in-Lenzerheide (sorry for the long link) from 3 June to 24 October 2021. The set incl. a Globi bag, Globi surprise gift, many vouchers, tickets for toboggun run and boat ride and more. Incl. or excl. mountain railway tickets.
Cool, thanks for the tip. I’m sure lots of kids will love this Globi set.
