Gondolas opening 6 June 2020

Mountain transport is officially allowed to open starting 6 June 2020. So I did some research and made a list of mountain areas that are open this coming weekend to help with your planning.

More mountains are opening Exciting times! Mountain transport is officially allowed to open starting 6 June 2020. So now we have many more hiking options available.

The following gondolas are are scheduled to open the weekend of 10 June 2023.

Some are only open on weekends only in June and don’t start daily service until July. Not all trails are open even if the mountain transport is. Check the individual websites to confirm operating times and trail status before heading out.

There may be longer wait times than usual as some places may reduce capacity in cable cars and trains. Some places require wearing masks inside cable cars and trains, so best to bring your own. Good luck out there!

There are more open than on this list. I’ve only listed places I’ve been before and where I could verify opening times. Let us know if you know of other places opening this weekend.

Central Switzerland

Note: Stoos is only opening the Fronalpstock lift, so you can’t do the ridge trail unless you hike up/down the Klingenstock side.
