A challenging hike to five beautiful alpine lakes scattered along an impressive landscape shaped by glaciers.
Epic ridge trail with sweeping views of the Berner Oberland. A difficult and slightly dangerous hike, best for older kids and those with hiking experience.
Hike next to the famous north face of the Eiger with spectacular views of the Grindelwald valley.
Here are the most challenging hikes we’ve done with our kids, starting when they were about 8 years old. These hikes are all longer than 10 km, with a fair amount of elevation ascent and descent, some slightly dangerous. These are suitable for tweens & teens that are confident hikers.
Hikes in Switzerland suitable for older kids with hiking experience (about 7-12 years old) – moderate difficulty from 6 to 9 km long.
Beautiful alpine hike in southern Switzerland with views of the Aletsch glacier, crossing a suspension bridge over a gorge. Particularly nice in fall when the larch trees turn bright yellow. A bit challenging at 11km, so better for families with older kids.
Admire many mountain peaks as you traverse the Schilthorn mountain and descend through the Sefinen river valley, ending at the Gimmelwald alpine village.
